LED and auxiliary light fitting — brighter, wired properly, aimed fairly
At Kallukatti, Kaliyakkavilai — on the NH-47 (now NH-66), near the Nayara petrol pump — and at our Pudukadai branch. Open from 8 AM, every day.
Also called: LED fitting, extra lights, work lamp, fog lamp. Brighter light is easy to buy and hard to wire well. The difference shows up six months later — in your loom, your battery, and the eyes of everyone driving toward you.
When you need this
This bench is for: headlights upgraded to LED where the housing and the law allow it honestly; fog and auxiliary lamps for monsoon and hill-road driving; work lamps on tractors, JCBs and pickups that earn after dark; and the rescue job — lights someone already fitted, now flickering, draining or blinding.
Night work stalled because the machine's lights died? Call 094872 34923 — machine lighting faults are usually supply or earth trouble, and field-side attendance can be arranged for what cannot travel. Emergency help →
Every month this workshop undoes lighting sold as an upgrade and fitted as a fire risk: LED bars hung off the headlight wire, fog lamps switched through circuits never sized for them, work lights that flatten a tractor's battery by dinner. The lamps were rarely the problem. The wiring was.
Fitted here, extra light arrives as a proper circuit: its own relay and correctly rated fuse, supply taken from where the vehicle can afford it, switches that make sense from the driver's seat, and connections sealed against the coast's salt air rather than twisted and taped. LED conversions get flashers and load handling matched so nothing blinks wrong afterwards — and headlight-position LEDs are fitted only where the housing produces a beam pattern we can aim without ambushing oncoming traffic. If a kit cannot be aimed fairly, we say so and offer the version that can.
For working machines, lighting is earning capacity: a JCB cutting after sunset or a tractor threshing at night runs on its lamps. Work-lamp packages for machines are planned around the charging system's real budget, so the light lasts the shift and the battery lasts the season.
What it costs
| LED conversion or auxiliary light fitting, per lamp set | ₹400 – ₹1,200 plus the lamps chosen |

Fog lamp sets, LED conversions and machine work-lamp packages are quoted with the lamps in hand — bring your own or choose from what we stock; the wiring standard is the same either way.

LED & work lights — what you should know
The relay is not optional
High-draw lamps switched directly through stalks and dashboard switches burn those switches — slowly, then suddenly. A relay costs little, carries the load professionally, and is the difference between an upgrade and a future repair bill.
Brighter is a responsibility
A lamp that blinds oncoming drivers makes your night safer by making everyone else's worse — and it invites the police check it deserves. Everything fitted here leaves aimed: cutting the road, not the traffic.
The battery pays for every watt
Extra lighting is an extra load the charging system must fund — on machines and older vehicles the arithmetic is checked before the fitting, not discovered after.
If lights already fitted are draining the vehicle overnight, that hunt lives at short-circuit and current-leak tracing →.
Rescuing an existing installation
Flickering bars, melted switches, lamps wired through the horn circuit — we re-wire what is worth keeping onto proper feeds and retire what is not.

LED & work lights — common questions
What does LED or work-lamp fitting cost?
₹400 – ₹1,200 for the fitting per lamp set, plus the lamps — the relay, fuse and proper wiring are part of the fitting, never an extra line discovered later.
Are LED headlights legal for my car?
It depends on the housing and the beam it produces — some convert cleanly, some scatter. We tell you honestly which yours is before anything is bought, and fit only what can be aimed properly.
Fog lamps for the monsoon — worth it?
Fitted low, aimed flat and switched correctly, yes — they light the road edge when rain kills the main beam's reach. Fitted carelessly they are glare with a bracket. The difference is the fitting.
Can you light my tractor or JCB for night work?
That is a specialty here — work-lamp packages sized to the machine's charging budget, wired to survive vibration and weather, switched where the operator can reach them with gloves on.
